GPZ uni cams aren't that wild and would be ok with your std springs if they are in spec and not sagged.
A set of APEs std hd springs for normal fast road/race use will be ok if you are going to change them.

I got the valve covers assembled and also got the head retightened, as it had setteled after temperature cycling and the initial torqueing. I did a new compression test that this time read: 125, 125, 110, 100. Things are looking better from last time, but not great. The bike is actually running ok right now, and I took it for a short ride.
I was told by the Kawasaki guy that did the lower end of the engine, installing the pistons etc. that the bore and everything was measured and within spec. and I believe him, as he has been around the block before. He also told me to go ride for 4-500 miles to get the rings settled. Keep it lower than 4000 RPM and don't let it work hard in high gears.
I am going to do a little more tuning on the idle mixture on the carbs and also do a dynamic check on the timing, now that I have got the compression up a bit. Hoping that the rings will settle and boost me up to 150+ PSI :woohoo:

Hard acceleration whilst short shifting under load and shutting off without braking ( let the engine do the braking ) is the way to get those rings bedded in although the first 20 min's of riding will have determined how good a seal you end up with.
Don't labour the engine in the higher gears or sit at constant rev's/speeds and don't thrash it but sticking below 4000 rpm won't do it any favours and short bursts well above that is what is needed.
