Seafoam can only clean if it can flow. When jets get clogged, it's not going to clear them.
Overall, I love Seafoam - I use it in a maintenance dose on all my motorcycles and lawn equipment.
Because it will clear carbon off valves and valve seats, it's a good idea to recheck valve clearances after running seafoam through the carbs and engine.

Seafoam is ok. It works alot better in its concentrated form.
Instead of mixing it into the gas, try this:
Make sure to be in a very well ventilated area!
Turn off your petcock and remove the fuel line from the tank.
Insert a small funnel into the open fuel line.
Start the engine and pour the seafoam directly into the fuel line.
Continue topping up the line with seafoam until the engine begins to change rpm/stumble.
Rev the throttle good a few times - the bike will either rev or choke out - no matter. Stop engine.
Now the seafoam is well concentrated in there, cleaning everything up nicely.
Next day - drain carbs, reconnect fuel line, prime carbs and start as normal.
The engine will blow out some nasty exhaust at first, then your done.
Super clean.

I was just wondering the same thing about seafoam. Can u use it as a fuel/ oil additive between changes or is it just for flushing out?

I've never put it in my oil; I don't know if it would do bad things to the clutch. I use in in my fuel once each Spring and each Autumn. Just be sure to follow the instructions on the can - I believe it's 1 ounce of Seafoam for each gallon of fuel. Some folks have overdone it and their bike runs very poorly until they burn it. (Like 1 guy who added a whole can to 1/2 gallon of fuel - waaay too much). Ed

Yeah, read te instructions carefully. You use it right before and oil change, you dont run around with it in there for any length of time.
As far as in the gas, Eds' right. It can be mixed fairly strong, but it will make noticable smoke and reduce power till its gone. Best to run by the instructions - or a whole can to an entire tank of fuel at the most.
