750 jugs on 650 block
17 May 2006 05:30
i've been reading the archives and can't find a definate answer on this one. i've been told that a 750 uses a different cam chain set-up so i can't use 750 cylinders on a 650.now i hear everyone does it so exactlly what do i have to do? i want a 810, not a 700 thanks all and sorry if this has been hit on 100 times
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

KZ750 cylinder block on KZ650 thread
And there are several people on here that have done it.
I think that is proof that it works
GPz750 cams on KZ650 thread
Another GPZ750 cams thread
Short version:
Use a KZ750 block, not a GPZ750 block as they are different and the 650 cam chain parts will work in the KZ750 block.
You can use the 650 cams, or put the 650 cam sprockets on the KZ/GPz750 cams and use them (better idea).
