Wix 24942 oil filter

I use this filter, and it seems to be pretty good to me, plus it comes with new O-rings.
But before I go buy another one, do you guys recommend anything else? (I do recall seeing someone else's filter caved it).

My understanding is Wix makes for the majority of oil filters out there. Just renamed for whomever has the $$.

Google oil filter comparisons. I believe someone tested a large amount of oil filters with some surprising results.

I use K&N. They work fine for me, but I'm not sure who really makes them. They look less restrictive than the WIX.

I use Wix in all my vehicles. In a pinch Napa Golds. NEVER use the "orange" ones. I believe the study MFolks refers to rates Wix then Napa Gold in that order as the best.

My local dealer wants nearly twice the price of the Wix filter and as Riverroad stated the Wix comes with new o-rings and the OEM from Kawasaki does not. That coupled with the fact that every study I've read rate the Wix very high, plus my own experience of removing MUSH when using a Fram and I'll stick with Wix.

i normally by stockers but they are getting hard to find nobody stocks them anymore if i find a place that has a bunch in stock i'll buy them all so i'll be good for a wile but in a pinch i would not have any problem using wix filters i use them all the time for diesel fuel systems and i don't have problems with those so go for it. where are you getting the wix oil filters from by the way so other people can find them.

You're right Timebomb. I get mine at a local Carquest auto parts store. Somewhere around 5 bucks if I remember right.
