A 750/4 maybe but I dont think from an E model. The curvature is more like that of an LTD tank.
If you can get a measurement from A toB I can measure mine(E1) tomorrow for comparison

Also a photo of the underside might help as the mounting tabs for the 750 E1 and H1 (LTD) tanks differ in their orientation by 90 degrees - I think

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThere is one for sale on Ebay that is exactly like yours and it is listed as 1978 KZ750B.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

.

That tank uses a 70s type of fuel cap. The 750-4 fuel caps are of the newer rectangular style found on most 1980-on models.
A photo of the underside can help to further identify a fuel tank.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHere is another ad in Ebay. It says what frame its from and the other models that it will fit.

Narrowing down the possibilities using the parts diagrams, it's probably for the 1979 KZ750-B4 Twin.
Comparing the color & striping pattern pretty much eliminates most other fuel tanks with that type of fuel filler opening.
