Ever peeked under the covers of a Voyager?

I've seen some pretty neat customized ex-PD bikes in the past. Mostly they end up in the café style but this got me wondering what's under the covers of the Kawi Voyager?
Has anyone stripped one down to return it back to a simpler form?

Here's mine, with most of the fairing off. This was a few years ago. But I restored it to original, no mods.

Whoa! :woohoo:

Thanks LTDrider. I guess that answers that.
Don't ever ask to look under the covers of a Voyager unless you really wanna know.
It looks more like rocket science than Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance that I was expecting. ;)

Hey that's an interesting perspective there. So the Voyager is a mono shock AND it appears it may be like a reverse shock (don't know the correct term). Does the shock expand or compress?
Still looks closer to rocket science than wrench spinnin' fun in the garage to attempt customizing it into something else like a monster cafe brat etc.

Doh. Just saw it's a Yamaha. Not Voyager

Great job LTDrider, just like you did on the LTD. Long time since you've been around here. Welcome back, or if I've just missed your recent posts, congrats on your Kawasakis. Very impressed.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
