Phone mount recommendations?
01 Mar 2016 18:22
I'm looking for suggestions for a phone mount for my kz1000p. I assume most are fairly universal. My phone is quite large as I have an lg v10. A friend has suggested RAM mounts but looking for other options as well. Hope this is the right aubforum for this sort....

Just to reiterate, I have been using a RAM mount for about four years. I like it and if you get the complete kit, it gives different options on how to use it.

I mounted my Garmin like this.

Just cut, bent, drilled and spray painted a piece of steel and bolted it on. Make sure you leave enough room so you can get your tank off when needed. I had to add those little white spacers show in the pic.

Not to offend the newer generation. But I am a Crusty Old bastard! I still have a land line hanging on my kitchen wall. It is hooked into my cable provider ran by the same modem.
I don't ride very much anymore. But I do take a Trac (burner) phone with me, thrown in the saddle bag.

Don't have a land line anymore, Majic Jack and HS internet, Roku/Netflix and a Lap top I keep in my side box. Plot the destination then go. I do have a Trac Phon on my belt for emergencies. Fingers too fat for new phones. I like the idea though.

I can relate to this, i didnt get my first cellphone until i was nearly 20. I think its unfortunate that teenage boys will never again know the terror of calling a girl to ask for a date and having her father answer the house phone...
That said i am a IT guy who loves gadgets and data collection and the like so a smartphone on my bike will be a near must have.
