I work in Baltimore city so i make sure i have at least one of my "little friends" in my toolbox! Baltimore city is crazy! Crack heads broke into my work twice a couple months ago, it's

a gas station. Luckily they walked by the snap-on tool boxes and just stole cigarettes from the store.

What about swapping out a few cam cover bolts for studs and fabbing up a cover?

Good idea except for heat dissipation.

A piece of tin over the plug caps and bent down the sides of the head a bit wouldn't do any harm as far as heat goes, broken off cooling fins will. I'd run one on my bike if needed.

There was another member here a few years back had the same problem.

Oh wow, that's a really good idea. I could probably make it look pretty decent too with a little effort. Could even help cooling if I build it right - would be like having an extra fin.

Though could be an invitation to even more damage. Would keep the minor crackheads at bay, but not the ones with the big bolt cutters (which what I think they used last time)

Alright, here's my attempt at a solution. It was cheap, easy, and no crackheads had to die. Unless they happen to have brought a very sharp knife and can see exactly what's going on (which would be unlikely given that crackheads are creatures of the night and probably don't usually carry flashlights) I think this will be effective.

Sorry not sure why the pics are rotated - anyway you get the idea. Now that I'm looking at the pics I'm thinking I should have threaded the cable tie through only the inner layer of fabric so it would be less clear what's going on. I could probably switch to metal as well for extra security.

I'll let you know how it goes...

All I can say is WOW. A cheap car alarm might work better.
