So I got this 85 zn700 ltd, put in starter clutch and finally messed with the carbs some got it finally running on all 4 carbs, finally, but now when I start it and sit on it and lean it to the right some the green neutral light flickers and it stalls out. Every time now. I put it into gear, stalls,???? Any ideas out there.......

some models have a starter interlock which means you can only start with:

side stand up

in neutral

clutch in

often these get disconnected.

Right, I think its something weird cuz I have to start it in neutral with the green neutral light on the box on, but when I lean it to the right, the whole bike, the light will flicker and go off, and if the bikes running it will shut off, now when that happens I either after to turn the steering wheel to the left hard the light will come back on and it will start... Its gotta be a wire right. Idk

Check your multi connector plugs. Sometimes the pins will pull out just enough to do this.

Sounds like neutral safety or clutch sSafety switch issues....

The neutral switch is under the left casing, and gets pretty mucky there. If you clean it up, and gently squash the female connector just a touch it will probably fix it. Had this one mine recently.

I had this on my CBX750. A lot of times when I went round a corner, the bike would splutter and fart. Turned out that the fusebox (which is on the top yoke, twixt the handelbars) had water in it. When it was level,no problem the water level was too low. When I tilted the bike (into a turn) the water level would rise at one end and mess with the fuses! Cleaned it out and everything was tiddley pooh.

Sounds more like a side stand safety switch now. The neutral safety switch will stop the bike from starting unless in neutral. The side stand switch will stop the bike from moving if the side stand is not up. Your bike starts, but dies when you put it in gear to move.

It'll start if the neutral light is on, otherwise I can jump it off the thing and it'll start but can't put it into gear cuz it'll stall, or as I sit on it and lean some to the right it'll shut off, right off. Idk
