Wrecked my 81 Kz750ltd

Long story short I hit some gravel and lost control. No major injuries, but I did destroy the front rim and timing cover. I already ordered a rim, but am having one hell of a time tracking down a timing cover. Any help would be much appreciated!

Bikes can be fixed. just happy you are ok. A quick search on Ebay should find the cover pretty cheap. Good luck on a speedy recovery for you and the bike.

Gravel, the street bikers worst enemy. I did the same in a parking lot last summer, totally caught me off guard. luckily i had case guards on so damage was minimized, $100 worth of parts later you can't tell.

Assuming a 750-4. A bunch of models used the same pulsing coil cover or are interchangeable.
Any 750-4. For sure the 750E/H & 81-83 KZ650-CSR. The 83s are slightly different cosmetically. KZ700. Probably the ZN700/750. Maybe the 90s ZR750. And maybe the KZ550 --- not sure on the 550. An easy check is to see if the gasket is the same, but even then compare to make sure it's not too shallow (non-stock part but probably not an issue), so check the diagrams at Partzilla.

You were lucky there. You can have it built up by welding or JB weld. It's on the bottom so it won't show. If I had case guards they could have saved my covers.

I have been looking foe case guards on and off for over a year. I will definitely pick some up as soon as funds allow it.

You can't tell in the picture, but the "magnet thing" someone please correct me, was damaged. I have one from a kz1000 and it fits my kz750. Any reason why this wouldn't work?
