I asked what you guys all thought it was and there were several answers. Two sounded legit but alas no. Not a cigarette holder or antenna. See if you know. This is unique to Brazil.

Postal service cut backs in Brazil, they went from using train deliver to using motorcyles to deliver mail bags. :woohoo:

Is it for picking your nose under your helmet en'route?
Or perhaps an odd shaped steering damper?

Is it a curb feeler but for walls or tight alley riding?
It seems to be effective in the out or down position. The position its in now is for riding?
For parking on hills. It holds the handle bars / tire to curb????

Frightening. I knew a guy that got clothes lined on his bike coming to my house. The prick put up a cable across the dirt road because he didn't like anyone useing it. He hit it with his handle bars and did the flying W. SO wouldn't do anything about it. A kite string wouldn't be seen.
