Helmet restoration
02 Oct 2014 12:19 - 02 Oct 2014 12:20
Hey everyone
I've been cleaning up vintage helmets for a few months. Before I get yelled at by anyone I'll start by saying they're decorative only and I am not riding anywhere in them. I've noticed some of the older, more expensive helmets have a chrome trim around the face. Does anyone know of a source where I can find the chrome trim to install on helmets that came with the boring black trim?

I wonder if some of that thin chrome edge guard stuff they make for cars would work?I think it wraps around body seams/edges

Still recovering, some days are better than others.
