What model do I have? KZ650 F

Hi guys,

I read somewhere in here, that the KZ650 F1 was only made 7200 times in 1980. According to my registration papers, it says Kawasaki Z 650 F..

Is that it? Or does it have a hidden number somewhere?

/D
I havn't been everywhere - but it's on my list!

Ps. Sorry for double post - I didn't know how to edit the category location.

You can use your VIN to check the model at the link below. If yours is an F1 someone added the second disk brake up front. Nice bike. Ed

Thank you Ed! I will have a look. The VIN should be on the reg-papers right?

Registration papers can have errors. Use the frame number on the vin label.
The frame number should be stamped into the steering head as well.
CycleChaos.com has frame & engine # info for many Kawasaki models.
Zedder.com is another place to check.

As Martin stated, sometimes registration papers are not accurate, so use VIN stamped into the steering stem neck (where the front fork attaches to the frame) as your reference. You may also find a white label there that shows the month & year your bike was built. Ed

Occasionally, I see differences on the European/Asian versions of the bikes we get. Usually they get two disks where the U.S./Canada will get one, or sometimes they will even get a third on the rear. I guess Americans don't care about stopping.

Great looking 650, by the way! B)

It's Harley-Davidson's fault.

7200 world wide is what I've came up with.
Here'a mine just not a lot of KZ650F1 left just the frame, fork's, tank and tail.
