New Top For Blast Cabinet.

I made a new frame for blast cabinet. It came with a 1/4 inch Plexiglas lid. It leaked everywhere and anywhere.

I used 1/8 inch steel angle iron on frame. The main frame was jointed with 45 deg cuts. I also extended the outer frame into the cabinet to provide a buffer for the debris and the seal.

The new frame is complemented with a laminated glass viewing window. The frame is recessed to provide a flush mount of glass. The glass is beveled on the edges. The glass Improves the view of parts in cabinet by 500%.

I would say the frame and glass weigh about 35 pounds and just sits in place without leaking. The glass was sat into a bead of clear silicone to seal it.

I will say this, if you have this model....there is a very good chance you are not happy with the factory top and the leaks.

Harbor Freight should be flogged for selling this crap.

I got it new from some bloke off of Craigslist for $45.00.
