So i always read about clearing the carbs come winter time when the bike is gonna sit for a while...but what else? I am in the process of rebuilding my carbs along wit some other work and because of school I probably wont have the bike ready to run until january. Do i need to worry about amything else?

I don't but a lot of people will raise the bike so the tires are off the ground. The fuel can go bad unless you also run the tank dry or put some Stabil in it. Just shut the fuel off and let the bike run until it dies. You should actually do this after every ride if you own a 2 stroke. Keeps the oil from gelling in carb between rides.

Draining or running the carbs dry is good, but DO NOT run the fuel tank dry or empty it. If you do condensation will form in the tank and cause it to rust. Gasoline will not rust the tank. Fill the tank as full as possible, and if you don't plan the run the engine every week or two add the appropriate amount of Stabil or SeaFoam to keep the gas from going bad. Ed
