missing keys

My nephew just bought a 79 kz1000 shaft and its missing the keys is there a way to find out what key code it has?
1976 Kz900

Take a close look near the keyhole on each of the locks. You may find a code stamped in one of them. On my bike there is a 3 digit numeric key code stamped in the seat lock. If you find it let us know as there are some places that sell original keys for most codes. Ed

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationTake a look at this eBay listing. It looks like he can provide and cut the keys. He has a phone number listed, so you may want to check with him to make sure. Ed

there is a guy on the here that cuts keys from code for about 10-15 bucks
i believe his name is rstnick but he had cut my key and sent it to me

well he got a key and all it opened was the seat lock he's going to get another ignition switch for it
