How rare is the MK II KZ1000?

There is one for sale locally and I was just wondering how rare these are and why. Was they only made the one year? It has higher mileage (43,000) and is equiped with the fairing and side bags. The guy is asking $1400 obo.

Wow, someone beat the s**t out of that beauty with the fugly stick. I know that real MKII's are difficult to find, especially in original condition (as the above shows).

If that were local to me, I'd risk the wrath of my wife and it would be in my garage ASAP.

Is the frame at the swing arm pivot area wider than a KZ on the mk2s? Like the ST's?

ive grown to really like these mk11 over the last few years, they look great in original trim, they are quite rare over here, totally worth grabbing.

I feel the same way....there is someting about them...really racer looking....kinda a hot rodded version...like the sharp lines as the others tend to be rounded and smooth.
