need help identifying
05 Mar 2013 02:05 - 05 Mar 2013 02:06
have this lone pic of the old lady's dad's z1 (the bike she wants to commemorate with that frame i recently picked up)
the only big question I have (other than who wants to part with a motor they've been using as a door stopper? oops, that didn't work) is what chain guard is that? looks almost stock but it's obviously chrome???
and yes, those are period correct mods of changing the seat, wheels front end and brakes that was done before I was anywhere around.

well apparently I am blind afterall, those are abe wheels.
Like I said, that chain guard has me baffled, wish I had better pics, or a chance to look at his bike, i take that back, just want the bike...
so, most likely it's gonna be an aftermarket piece, looks a lot like that plastic one that's actually on that frame i got.

what's really fun though, is I have 3 pictures of this bike in it's latest form, and not a one of them is from the right side, don't know if it had a rear drum or disc now that I think about it, and I started out wrenching on bikes on it for crying out loud... I used to have a good memory.
go figure

so long story short that extra ltd swinger, wheels and front end I've got rustled up isn't getting used on the old lady's tribute bike, if it's build to be like her dad's...

There is one of those chain guards on eBay listed under KZ900. I had one on a bike. They are heavy. Roy
