For on-street motorcycles, exhaust systems produced in or after model year 1983 may not exceed noise levels of 83 decibels (dB), and models produced in or after model year 1986 may not exceed noise levels of 80 dB. Mopeds produced in or after 1983 may not exceed noise levels of 80 dB, and off-road motorcycles with engine displacements greater than 80 cubic centimeters may not exceed noise levels of 82 dB.

actually curious about where to find another exhaust pipe. mine got ruined and is no more. I think it was the bassani, might have been a kerker just the back end. a custom bent 2.5 inch with a baffle. I would hate to buy another entire header and pipe.

I think a exhaust shop would bend you a pipe if you only needed the rear piece.

I have had some bent for me.

There was a post on here where a rider used a oil filter by cutting the two ends off and a piece of tubing to space the two ends together. It was a good job.

A couple of cheap options to salvage the mufflers. Tractor muffler???
The tractor muffler guy then came up with this solution to address a back pressure issue. Neat trick for Mac headers
