There should be another KZ-related story of mine in the next issue of Accelerate. But different in just about every way from Les' custom KZ.

So Lance, in a different direction then Les and his KZ, hmmmm? Does that mean a showroom stock machine? I can think of a couple of people that fit that bill. I know you can't say, but having fun guessing. Or did you mean a different type of rider then Les? Well we have couple of nut cases that fit that bill as well,

Showroom? This particular KZ never saw a showroom.
Stock? Restored to thereabouts, I guess.
Nut case? I wouldn't say that, although this rider and owner definitely has his own individual niche in the motorcycling world, and he loves his KZ.

Nobody on here, by the way.

Hey Les, I wanted to ask if you can see the crank once it's installed to see if its welded. I think I could see the tranny from taking the underpan off.
Would have pm'ed you but tapatalk isn't set up for that.

Yes on both, we change shift forks by pulling the pan.

The first time Les was written up he was only 4 years old. He learned his lesson and is now written up in a much more favorable way.

Thanks guys. This is what I thought. But about the shift forks? Never knew this. But I guess it wouldn't have mattered with my zr1100. I think I would have had to split the cases anyway. I just hope that when the pan gets dropped my welded crank and billet trans is in there otherwise...

So, Les, how's the bike running? I am so close to being finished. So close.

It's not. All together except oil lines to and from turbo but I've been knocking back too many hours to even walk by and look at it.
