What's your Thanksgiving project?
22 Nov 2012 15:53
Ok, for those in the US at least, some of us are lucky enough to have an extra day or two off from work. Theoretically we're supposed to spend this time eating turkey, hanging out with family, shopping for Christmas gifts, etc.
I'm betting a few of you are like me and will be sneaking away to work on some bike project. So what's your project?
I've decided to tackle a lean cylinder on my KZ750 twin that I've been meaning to get to for a while. While I've got the carbs off I'm going to try and soda blast them too.
How about you?

Ostrich fillets...as the main course...then a nap, then maybe tomorrow off to the Renaissance Festival...then maybe pull the front end off one of the KZ1000's. Life is good, at this time. Greetings to all.

Lets see. maybe i'll replace the pump thats 180 ft down in my well. then take the iron filter in to be rebedded, then get the softener fixed, then plum in a pre filter. that should take care of it.

It has some con rod issues. Guy wanted 800 I told all I had was 600. I think he got overwhelmed with turd engine they put in the wonderful frame. This thing has made me appreciate jap bikes X 100.
I need a reamer to properly install a new bushing.

Re: What's your Thanksgiving project?
23 Nov 2012 01:48Id try plumbing a couple whole house water filters into the system and do away with the water softener myself,or atleast minimize the need for it anywaymark1122 wrote: Lets see. maybe i'll replace the pump thats 180 ft down in my well. then take the iron filter in to be rebedded, then get the softener fixed, then plum in a pre filter. that should take care of it.
