My self and some others have expressed concern about the flag getting bogged down in the Mid West this Winter.

Anyone want to talk about it ?

When all of this first was introduced by 650ed, and the planning started. Some suggested a Northern Summer route, and a Southern Winter route. Keep in mind that out West there are No Small States, and many have less members do to the smaller populations. So some of these states could take some time to get across. Some you simply won't once the snow comes. So if it could be possible to keep the relay running through the winter, down in the southern states, I think that's a good Idea.

Just to further this discussion, you should post a map with the proposed map. That way everybody involved in the southwestern states can get an idea of when and from whom they would receive the flag. There are not many riders in the south. I counted 12 riders counting Texes, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Wasn't sure about weather this time of year in Oklahoma. So once it makes it to California, which I believe it can by December, then where to from there? This the only draw back I see. Flag would get a bit further but eventually still may have to sit idle due to winter. I would guess it would have to stay there until Spring. And once it gets moving East, will the final Relay finish be Wisconsin or Illinois? A map with the a proposed route would go a long way generate discussion with the people involved. The only people that can answer all these questions are the people that live out West and know what time of year they can or can't ride. So for example, maybe Oklahoma and Colorado can be included in this Southwestern trek.

Yeah, not a lot of riders the South West but it will probably be the same riders in August when the flag might be better off running through Canada.
They got to get done sooner or later.

I suggest you head North first like what was planned and hit Louisiana and Arkansas and if someone's ballsie enough take it into Missouri and Kansas cool maybe the corner of Colorado :woohoo: ,or take it into Oklahoma from Arkansas, then Texas .

By then the guys in Texas and New Mexico should have a good idea for a plan.

You guys got all Winter to get it done ;)
