Hoping the automobile engine was never allowed to be running while the jumper cables were connected.

Good Fortune! :)

I fried my fuses, voltage regulator and rectifier jump starting a car last year. I advise you to not do that again. :pinch:

this maybe why i have to jump it all the time. i have had the car running before , but stopped after I learned about the frying problem. i have another rectifier/regulator on my parts bike. if I replace this, will it fix this problem (or what else should I look at)???

I'm personally leery about using any electrical components from a parts bike. I buy new electronics - electrical stuff can go wrong and, worst case scenario, totally destroy you hard work.
