That's know as the Suzuki GSX1100M Katana in most places of the world. They didn't sell all that well when new, which probably is why so few are for sale today. Those who own one, tend to hang on to it.

I remember when the 750 Katana first came out how I had never seen such an ugly bike. The ones I saw (probably around 1981) had red seats, that backward looking tank, and that goofy looking headlight thing. They were fast bikes at the time, but no one in my area was buying them because of their odd looks. I still believe the headlight thing was designed by the creator of Astro Boy. :lol: That design (see pic) did not last long as they made big changes in 1984. Ed

Oh, the old Katana! There weren't that many around back in the day, either. Always thought they were cool looking but they didn't have any real advantage over a GS. That Kat bodywork was expensive to replace, too.

I wouldn't mind a Katana meself - if it wasn't for the tiring riding position and rock hard suspension :lol:
