new member questions.

I bought an 82 KZ440 about 3 yrs ago without a title. The old man I bought it off of also had bought it without the title. I would like to know if there is anyway (without having to track down the original owner) to get a title? If not then how can I go about tracking down the person it was last registered to? I live in Texas and dont want to start working on my KZ till its in my name.

Also does anyone know where i can get an engine rebuild kit? Or if the even exist?
