I got a 93 shadow 1100 in my collection too :)


yeah, I was one that commented about it too... Was my comment about them not being popular then but rare now accurate?

Yes, you got that right...the Z1R is far more desirable now than when they were first introduced.

I've never seen anyone put spokes on a Z1-R before..

someone needs their sac mashed for letting that bike sit out like that :whistle: :evil:

When one leaves a bike to sit out like that, the bike will henceforth be known as a Sac Masher. The owner will be the Mashee.

Unfortunately, I know several Mashees that need that done. Sucks seeing a KZ rusted into a solid hunk of nothing.

Old prostock Z1R bikes like Sid Pogue ran always had spoke wheels. no one would run mags on a Prostock. This might be Sid's old bike. Well no, I doubt it's originally even a Z1R if vin numbers were revealed, but regardless the Z1R is one cooll bike and always was. Yes they didn't sell well and they cut the price from like $3400 bucks to around $2500 bucks in 1978 to get rid of them. I would have bought one but that silver/ blue was just too darn ugly. 1980 in black was much better. I think the color killed the sales. Did for me. I would have bought in another color for sure.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

My bike is a Z1R
It has the exact rims and swing arm at the moment
I wish I could get this bike
Im gathering all the parts i need to put mine back to a stock bike at the moment
This bike needs to be resurected
I hate it when things I desire are avalaible but so far out of reach
can anyone that has one let me use your transporter
