Ferrari Prototype Bike
23 Feb 2012 21:26 - 23 Feb 2012 21:30
Just got this in an e-mail and had to share.
Sorry about the thumbnails, wanted all to post larger
The body of the text read
"This is a pretty radical design.
But I don't think it's for the street.
No windscreen and I can't figure out how the front suspension works.
The rear trailing arms seem to have hydraulic hoses going to them.
I don't know if that's for dampening or the brake lines.
I like the brake setup using rings instead of rotors.
It is a head turner though just like the Ferrari cars!!"

I don't think it has front suspension. There's no room for any travel. That engine, if made, will be a screamer, that's for sure!!!

Bet you have to take it in for service every 500 ft. or so, though

I don't know how you would keep from sliding off it. It looks like straddling a watermelon.

Is it supposed to be like the V-10 Tomahawk bike? Pretty cool looking.

It seems to me that if it were going to be built, it would have already. The pictures are all dated 2008.
They stole the exhaust tips straight off a Ducati.
They stole the rim brake straight off a Buell.
DOHC VVT V4 is squarely in Honda territory.
IMO the hydraulic lines going to the swingarm are for fuel. Those AN fittings look like fuel line, and I cannot see a fuel tank on the bike.
I can't get with the styling, it sorta looks like:

I can't decide. It's sort of unique. The power plant is probably awesome. The front is ugly. The yellow one looks better than that red on IMO. But then again....it's Italian innovation. It's single purpose is to move very, very, very fast! ....and I'll bet it would do just that
