Looks like you might have to do quite a lot: www.motorcycleclassics.com/blacksidedown...vincent-auction.aspx

Not a black lightning but a cool clip from Top Gear using a Vincent:

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking it would take people like Jay Leno (and the like) to be able to afford one of those. I remember back in the mid 90's I wanted to find a Norton 850 Commando to restore. Started searching and was shocked to find what the prices were even back then. So I can't even imagine what Vincent would cost at this time. Anybody know what one of these Vincent's go for? I'd be willing to shell out 999.99 for one ;)

Nice vid.... at one point he says "the Black Shadow was the fastest production motorcycle until 1973".

Hmmm, what could have come out in 1973?

Who made the modern versions in the slideshow in the first post?

I lived in England in the early seventies and couldn't afford one, I imagine the prices have increased enormously since.

I've seen a few at local meets.
If I'm not mistaken, they sell for $80,000 ~ $100,000.

Yeah, that's no joke. A bag of dough would solve a lot of problems.

I know they're stupid expensive, but I would love to work on one and take it for a test ride.
