old member since 2002 - my 440LTD

Hey guys. Been a while since I have posted anything, but I still check in now and again. I got my 81 440LTD in 2002. In 2003 I also got a Honda VT1100C shadow that I consider my special ride. My KZ has been my everyday run around - go to work ride....and man have I been riding the hell out of it. It just goes and goes. All I have done since I got it was recover the seat, replace the exhaust with a 2-1 MAC and then only replace the battery once in addition to regular oil and tire changes as needed. I did have the oil pressure sensor fail and start leaking oil and I also had to replace the speedo with a used one from EBAY. Other than that.....minor tune up stuff and chain and sprocket maintenance. I have lost track at how many miles are on the bike.....I think over 60K now....but over the span of 30 years! Tough little bike and still holds it own.

Good for you! These old bikes are pretty bullet proof as seen by them being owned and ridden now for by some of the grand children of the original owners generation!
