I recently discovered a few places for hard to find NOS parts for our older bikes . I came across only a handful of sites ... www.powersportspro.com , www.kawasakipartshouse.com ,and www.cheapcycleparts.com (84 and newer for this one ) Happy hunting .... also if anyone knows where I can find some cheap kz1300 parts I would be extremely greatful . I dont do ebay . and not too many 1300s on craigslist here in fort worth .

Generally speaking, all the aftermarket sellers that will sell you NOS parts ALL order from Kawasaki. They ALL search on Kawasaki.com and based on the availability, can get you parts. One dealer generally doesn't have more NOS parts squirreled away than any other dealer, particularly with respect to 30 year-old parts. The trick is to find a dealer that is able to discern what is available and not overcharge you or take your money before they look and order. Your best bet is to learn how to use www.kawasaki.com to locate parts and discern what is still in-stock at Kawasaki. You will also learn what is out-of-stock and be a better eBay consumer as you'll have more information that the average eBay seller.

Looks kinda like a scam but it is legit. You type in the part # you want and description and any dealer/wrecker who has one is contacted and then emails you with a price. Good idea for those really hard to find parts.

+1 on this site, I used it a few years ago for a threaded fork top plug for my '84 550 shaft, was able to get it from a breaker shipped to me for $10! Looked like new and got here fast. Can't say all the sites and yards that are part of the site are as good as the one I got mine from but it's worth a shot.

I never thought of it that way . I havent ordered anything from these guys with the exception of cheapcycle parts , which is decent service . I may give ebay another chance . I went on ebay for the first time in a long time yesterday and found just about everything I need to finish my 1300 . I really want to get that bike on the road and make it breathe heavy .
