Some old guy once told me (and now I'm the old guy)
With all the cash you are doling out for Christmas,
Don't forget your bike.......
Buy it ALL new cables now and you will never be stuck with a broken one when the riding weather is upon us.
Has worked for me and Killer for decades.

Mine got a ported head, new RS34's, a welded crank, new paint, new powder, new wheel and steering bearings, new cables, a new seat, and new bolts. I think it's had enough but it's like my 4y.o. and still begs for more.
