KZ found in a tree !!

This bike looks bad and mabie its my kind soal but I cant let it go to the junk yard.

I got a call from a friend his dad has been cleaning his yard and they found somethin I might like. His exact words were I think its locked up but its all there.

few days later

We went to work for his dad and I have been staring at this bike for a min. There is a tree growing up threw the forks and handle bars :dry:

Couldnt help trying to turn it over with the kick. Nothin so now for the run down !! :huh:

No key
Weathered bad ,carbs look toast
Locked up or seiesed ???
no paper work mabie sale slip from the land man.
tires are shot
wiring shot

the tree is not a big deal it hasnt done any damage
The bike is all there / wont be when im done lol :woohoo:

I have been wanting a hard tail jockie shift foot clutch kick start twin this fits the bill but I am not made of $$

I have been thinking rat hard tail bobber style bike.

Hate to let these good kz 400 parts go to waste should I pick it up to part out the parts on ebay dont go for much?

I would like to take a bike in this sorry of a shape and give it a life so far I think I could Build the motor for Cheep !

As far as the other stough I can so do without the starter and only need a head light and tail light in IL. so the wireing would be minimal right????

Looks like I can Run a cr 125 carb just have to make an intake.

So carb 100
intake 50
pistons 60
anything I have to get for the bottom end should be ebay findable (is that a word) lol
Hard tailing is about 150
Used wheels go for like 20 on ebay and 20 to ship so 80 for a set with prob 30 tread but thats ok I want to run dirt tires.
pipes are macs thought I could cut them off into strait pipes and put in baffels??
Fab up some forward controles and ape hangers

All I will have for handle bar controles is a throttle
foot clutch and suicide shift.

what is the worst case on the motor it could be toast but I cant bring my self to let it go with parts all over and CHEEP!

not sure if you can swap a cr 125 carb, but I kind of think that your prices might be a little on the cheap side... at least in my opinion, I always have a number in mind and it always ends up being at least 1.5x that.

I'd offer the guy no more than $100 (haven't seen any photos yet) and just look for non-runner and make 1 outta 2.
