Ok, I've had this pic up on the garage wall for along time. A few people have noticed a couple of things about this MKll that are odd. Any takers ?

Well for one,it doesn't have the "MKll" badge on the sidecover.
Also...single disk front brakes??? :huh:

How about the guy leaned up against the cactus. I wouldn't want to be him. Ouch! Is he an escaped prisoner?

Probably a crease in the paper. The front fender seems odd somehow. Weren't the MKII's painted?

No,the front fenders weren't painted,they are chrome.That front fender in the pic is correct.

And ya that's probably a crease in the paper.

Not getting anything by you guys...and yes it's a crease in the gatefold ad from a magazine. It's either a very early ad or else the copy editors were asleep.

It's an early ad before the MKII was even seen in real life. Ran in all the magazines in late 78, early 79. Looks like they used 1978 pipes on it too is another thing that's different.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
