People's Choice Bike Show
29 Aug 2010 07:41 - 29 Aug 2010 07:43
Having been stung at several People's Choice bike shows when the public picks a Honda 90 over much more deserving bikes just because they remember one as their brother's first bike. I slipped my 650 BSA into a local bike shop's show yesterday and took first place away from a bunch of Yamaha V stars.
The prize was a $250 gift card which I can use to buy parts for my KZ550 project.

Nothing but "class" for that classic BSA!
Any older motorcycle, together and running has "class"
My opinion

One thing that the old Brits and the KZ's had in common was neutral geometry. Oh Yeah Schwinn bicyles too!
There was none of this shopping cart quick steering, no raked out front ends like the Honda Shadows and no super fat tires that track every road defect as so many modern bikes do.
They were easy to ride just like my KZ900.
