ONE DAY SHOPPING AT WALLY WORLD

For under $15 I found a air 12v compressor that of course has the plug for a cigarette lighter, and also a key chain digital pressure gauge. These of course are available elsewhere, possibly for less. But I found with a cheap set of alligator clips I could hook up and run the compressor easily. I used it for fine suspension air adjustments, mostly the front fork pressure on my 1000 LTD. This compressor is about the size of a paperback book! It has a built in dial gauge, and a light for night operation. And the small digital pressure gauge fits in the same zip up in closure. The pressure gauge reads in 10ths so you can be pretty accurate. Definitely part of my riding tool kit!

Yea I did a 3600mi trip from Colorado over and up to Seattle and back. Hi-way 50 is called the "Loneliest Hi-way in America" and now I have confirmed that. Took along the tire plugs, patches, and the compressor. Only used the compressor for small air pressure changes. Highest point crossed 9600ft, lowest basically sea level. Old 82 KZ1000 LTD took it all and got 50mpg.
Definitely recommend the compressor, even though as everything these days it's made in China.

Motor Head I have a cig lighter on my Vetter fairing. Don't you have one too. If not it is a very easy install on the fairing.

Personally I bring a couple of those compressed air canisters made for refilling after a puncture. I do have a cig lighter plug on my z1 but if the motor is not running, it drains the battery in minutes

Yes both of my Vetter fairings are preset up for the power plug-ins. Not wired in yet though, I bought that compressor kinda at the last moment. I will install both soon, but will need to buy a couple of sockets first.
As far as the "Hair" there isn't enough left to worry about anyway.
