Hey guys I am interested in buying a riding jacket. I cant find one that fits me I am not one of these skinny little guys that all the cool stuff is made for. I am kinda pear shaped in other words I got a beer gut or table muscle, how ever you want to put it. Does anyone know of any riding apperal manufacturers that I could get on custom made? I just want a decent street jacket. I dont need an all out racing jacket.

I have a teknic monsoon textile jacket in 52. This jacket is a 3/4 length (european or BMW rider style) jacket so the extra length covers up the milwaukee tumor really well, and I find I have all the straps around the midsection cinced right down so there is plenty of room in there.

I feel your pain. I had a hell of a time trying to find gear that fit me (until I decided to take up running marathons as a hobby and lost 80lbs. :silly:). Most riding gear I saw were not available in the sizes I needed.

Aerostitch offers a service where you can send them your measurements, and they will make some recommendations. They also offer custom alterations of their off-the-shelf products. Not cheap, they were the only option I could find:

Yea, you can get the Aerostich Roadcrafter, Darien, or Darien Light and have them altered as many different ways as you want. I have the Roadcrafter one piece and it's fantastic and what I wore last month when I did the 1500 mile Iron Butt BBG ride. Of course guys that want to throw $500-$600 on a jacket are the few, the proud, the goofy.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Go to your local bike shop and try on some jackets. I wasn't sure what size jacket would fit me. I was looking for a leather Icon jacket. I found a size that fit me, then ordered one via eBay. The shop wanted $380, I got my jacket for $150 shipped to my door.
