Dropped the Z1 last night

#372812
I was stopped at least. I had stopped and leaned over to the right pick up a CD that I saw laying along side the road in tall grass. ( what a dipstick )
No problem. But I was on a curve with an embankment, and as I straighten back up the bike leaned too far to the left ( I never lean left :P ). couldn't stop it.
Put some scratches in the polished stator cover, broke a front turn signal lens, dented the rear turn signal.
Haven't looked too much yet. I just parked her and walked away feeling like a Ahole for being so stupid.
Hoping I can wet sand the stator out ( again ), and no other problems.
Just had to vent to people who might understand my pain.

Too bad the wife didn't react that way.
The only thing she said was " What's this going to cost?? " .
Not, "Are you ok ??"

Strange comment from a woman who pays for nothing

Thanks guys, Pat

i fell ,rolled ,and generally flipped down an embankment one after i tried to pick a dam pack of smokes. it cost me a couple of grand in repairs missed a week of work because of damage to myself and worst yet had to call a friend of mine to come get me and cut short my trip. so now i dont pick up things off the ground or pick up strangers unless they have big hoo- hoos.

as a young man thought i knew it all, thought drinking went with driving,no trouble with four wheels, but not so with two wheels(but i knew it all, headstrong)laid down my dads elect-guide,graveled whole side of bod, pops very unhappy, then the next three times were sand, dirt,a fence and bush in someones yard(i fell off seat while cornering)Stopped drinking when driving and no more accidents.but this was long ago, knock on wood everyday my luck holds up.

The cd.... LiL Wayne :pinch:
I'll assess the damage tonight.
I had just broke down and bought a NOS clutch adjusting wheel and screw part for the clutch lever for $15.00 and got it last night too :S
Oh well...
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who does stupid things.
