Getting an Out-of-State bike? Need title advice!

Hopefully someone can help me.

I'm thinking of getting a bike from NY and I live in Ohio.
NYS has a title and then a "Statement of Transaction" (sales tax form).

In Ohio, the purchase price is written on the back of the title, kinda like an all-in-one form. In NYS, the title and tax form are needed.

Does anyone know if both (title and sales tax form) will be good enough or will I need a notarized bill of sale like the Ohio BMV suggests?

Thanks!

I used to live there too. All they want is a way to know how much sales tax to charge you. We used to put down way lower numbers so the tax was lower. If I were you I would get the notarized bill of sale. That's ohio's way to make sure your not lying.

Oh,by the way. Ohio will want to inspect it also. They make sure the numbers on the frame match the title.
