XS750 Triple, Worth Restoring?
07 Mar 2010 21:27
Recently acquired a 1977/8 XS750 triple and wondering if there is a great need to bring this bike back from the grave. I have no attachment to it and already have enough projects to stay busy for the next 3 years, but want to make sure that I wouldn't be committing a sin by taking it to the local auto recyclers yard. Any ideas?
It is in rough shape with lots of surface rust, sun baked plastics, and from what I understand a smoked engine. That covers most of my concerns. When I first saw the triple pipe I thought maybe I'd found a 2-smoke and then this wouldn't be an issue, but as it is I have less interest in it. Anyways, thoughts and ideas appreciated.

I had an 850xs triple shaft drive for a few years and it was a great bike. I would take another. Plus the old 3 cylinders have a little following now and are starting to increase in value. You should give it to someone as a first project. If it is fixable then I would find someone that wants a project...Russ
