I see this all the time on ebay. I've seen NOS spedos go for under $50. These people need to check out current prices. Nice but won't get a second glance on this one.

WOWEE!!! I didn't pay that for my whole bike. Anybody want my speedo and tach together I'll let 'em go for $800 since they aren't NOS.:laugh:

$550 is below Kawasaki list price of $580.24 according to Bikebandit. Actually you're buying a part and getting cool 5% discount. Bargain. :laugh:
Ebay has kind of got out of hand. I used to get parts there all the time. Got a new Kawasaki $400 chain for $40, 3 NOS engine covers for $25. Times not so good now. *Greed* is the word I suppose.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Well, for one thing, you aren't comparing the same parts.
One is for an earlier KZ & has the desirable (to me anyway) 160mph faceplate. The other one is an 80's CSR 85mph speedo, and, yes, those can be had for cheap - I got one for under 50 bucks total ($36? maybe). How do you know he thinks he has a rare part? Did he say so in the ad? If he can sell a NOS meter for five-hundred bucks, then good on him. The guy's in Australia, so maybe his perception of a reasonable going rate might be skewed: Isn't stuff expensive Down Under?

PS: if he wants more eyeballs on that part, he better check his spelling.

THe $550 gauge is a KZ version of the gauge. Not as desirable as a Z1 version. The straight cut opening for the numbers shows it's a 76 or later gauge.

If the gauge was put on at a low starting bid, I would expect it to sell for around $350-$400

I bought am OEM guage off ebay for $75. it did not work properly.if the damping oil in them dries up they are no good.:(
76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.
