So I am throwing around the idea of moving to Oklahoma for school next year. The school is in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Was just wondering what its like out there. I am from south-west Michigan and am used to cold weather and snow. What can I expect out there? And how many months do you guys have for riding? Thanks.

The only thing to slow you down around here is spring time. There's generally quite a few storms. High winds and such. Even in the hot part of summer there are places near like Talamena drive between Fort Gibson and Mena Ak. That are worth the effort.

last year i rode my bike at least once every month.i work in tulsa, but am minutes from broken arrow.i typically go to b-a for lunch.we are having an un seasonal cold snap right now and for the next few days.
there is an old saying that if you don't like the weather in oklahoma, stick around because it will change.
tornado's?for the most part get an old house that has never been hit and you don't have to worry about it.it is weird especially for californio's where earthquakes make stuff fall down, out here stuff fly's around  .i always say that you get to experience the weather of all the states in one week.
hot summers cold winters, hell we got it all!come on,you'll love it  .

RHEMA.

The only problem I see is that the bike will probably be staying outside? I have no clue where I will be living yet, and I don't know if I'll even bring it if thats the case.

Buy one when you get there, that way when you get home you will have another bike. Go see the country and get an education while you are at it. Look forward to it and have a blast.

My bikes have to stay outside, because my goats took over my bike shed. No problem there with the storms, but the Sun has pretty well rotted out the seats on both bikes, but then again, they were already craking before I got them. I'm planning on trying my luck with leather upholstery soon. I've been practicing with some inside projects that I can hide in the bedroom first, but I have to say, so far, so good.

if you come down here and don't bring your bike you will be kicking yourself in the pants.bike covers work well to protect from the sun but only last a year or so in the elements.

I'll think about it... hopefully I'll be able to get an apartment with a car port or garage though... The bike is in really good shape, I'd say close to mint and I'd hate for it to sit outside, I mean it did a little this year with a cover at school... But I hated it!
