The two stroke triples hold a place in my heart because when I was younger I owned a few, and my brother had a couple through the years. They are quick and haul ass. As far as parts availability I am not sure. The 750 triple quickly got a nickname that fits it perfectly

1975 was the last year they made that model, better known as the H2 triple. In 1979 Kawasaki didn't make any more 2 stroke street bikes. I think the 400 was the last one in 1977. I can guarantee you for $800 you won't get a H2 unless it's a major catastrophy. If you do get one though, parts are scarce and expensive. Not an every day rider type motorcycle.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Wicked fast, but they made more heat than they could get rid of. I traded mine in for a KZ.

My 74 wiggled a lot when I rode fast, turns or straights, didn't matter. But helluva lot of fun while it lasted.

Wicked, scarry, violent, just plain flat bad nasty all rolled up into a non handling spindly little frame with way more go than woe. An old buddy has a slew of these things tucked away, 4 yrs ago I know he had over 30 of these smokers ranging from the 350 to the 750. His daily was ported, bigger carbs, stretched 4" and piped. That thing would wheelie at 70 mph. These things even have there own class at prostar, just wear earplugs!

Anybody remember the late Dave Shultz and Paul Gast 72 H2 prostock? I saw it run in the 8.70 sec zone in Fremont, CA back in 1981. Oh for the days of cool bikes again, modern day drag racing machinery is just not the same. I had my 1974 H2 streetbike running 11.30s back in the day. Fun streetbike, but not the same league as a KZ for a every day motorcycle even back when they were relatively new. I see guys here getting confused trying to sync the carbs and hook up the breather hoses ect. Imagine the later H2. You had 3 carbs, no vacuum ports so tuning had to be done by ear. All 3 carbs had separate throttle cable hookup, separate choke. All three independant and adjusted separately. Each carb had it's own idle speed screw ect, an oil line to each carb, one breather on each carb, one fuel line to each carb plus a single vaccuum line off one of the carbs, so all in all there were at least 16 cables and hoses to the carbs. I still love the old triples but you're best off on a KZ for street riding.
