Ok ! I bought a 1975 Kaw 750 basketcase off a friends cousin for $140.00 basicly the tank motor and frame no seat wheels forks ect.
I got the motor running and mounted it on an old ski-do snowmobile, Now waiting foir the snow so I can ride my Kaw in the Winter ( Pics to follow)
Bet I got the only snowmobile with a hand clutch and manual shift and twist grip B)

Handle every situation like a dog,
If you can't eat it or hump it,
Piss on it and walk away!

There actually were a few sleds that used manual transmissions but I can't remember who made them. The reason they weren't successful is because two-strokes have a relatively narrow powerband and the transmissions couldn't keep them there as well as a cvt clutch could. the other problem is that snowmobiles have alot more resistance to forward movement then a motorcycle. There's snow, ski friction, and track friction. So everytime you go to change gears the damn thing slows down to much and you can't pull the next ratio. Not that its impossible you just have to have a good torquey motor.
