KZ900 NEVER BEEN RIDDEN!!!!
29 Sep 2009 08:27
I am looking at acquiring a '76 kz900 LTD. This bike has never been ridden, it went strait from the crate to where it sits now, in a dust free, indoor display. The brake rotors do not even have one single rub mark from use. I don't have pictures at this time, but this thing is mint!!
I am wondering what do you think this bike is worth? It has the same exhaust/color setup as this one in this pic.

The kz900 ltd models are not near as collectible as the 73 Z-1's. Even though it is rare to have such an unmolested bike, it really isn't worth that much because it's not a super collectible model and year. I'd say about $3-4,000 sounds right. Nowhere near $8-15,000, which would be accurate if it were an early z-1.

0 miles, showroom, I would say $6,000 - 8,000. Different prices in different markets. Also there is also that rogue buyer that has wads of cash and it is the bike he wants. How many 0 miles 76 900 LTD's do you think there are left? Z1 would certainly be worth quite a bit more but you are still talking about a very desirable bike.

actually the 900 ltd was really the first custom type bike that was built by the japanese company's it was a low production number bike so that in itself makes it a desirable bike to have the fact it is a low or no mileage bike makes it even moreso i totally agree with the 8,000 - 15,000 range

If it's new it will get good money regardless if it's not the Z1. I'd bet $8000 at least.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

If you buy it do you plan on riding it or holding it as a long term investment? Ed

As soon as you ride it its going to halve in value so I don't see the point.

OK, let's get some pictures of this thing before we comment any further. I want to see it, regardless of its value.

where i live they have paintings that look like somone took it from a holiday inn and a good deal sell for 1.5 mil,,900,000-765,000, 3 mil..ect...ect.....the real shitty ones only fetch 75000....so i guess i'm used to seeing so many idiots with money running red lights and failing at parallel parking that i get jaded when it comes to evaluating an items potential value,,,,in hindsight my original estimate of 8000-15000 for a 0 miles ,un ridden ,limited production kz900 was way too high........after careful reveiw...my new guess is 7995 -14995......sorry that i acted so rash before...
p.s if anyone wants in on some of this art action i have just mentioned, i can hook you up with a great motel 6....barns and fields for a great price......
