Cafe style with stock parts.
10 Sep 2009 16:58 - 10 Sep 2009 17:01
I was searching through pics of KZ's and came across an '80 or so 1000ltd shafty with the full on cafe treatment. The thing that interested me was how completely transformed it looked from a stocker while maintaining a large amount of factory parts still on the bike. Obviously the seat and tail have been tossed and the tank swapped(but its still a factory kawi tank I think),but it retained the stock exhaust(modified), wheels, suspension, and many other parts. I was impressed and thought I would see what others opinions were on this bike.

That thing is mean. Hope you don't mind a couple questions; GS? What model? I was thinking about clip-ons for mine, how do you like them and what did they cost you?

I put a add on the internet saying,"Vintage bike repair". Cheap.I haven't worked since July 22nd.
This is my first customer.
I got it running. It smoked me out of the shop!!
I'm going to go through it tomorrow and see if the jetting is right. It had two diffrent sized jets.
It had a home made combustion chamber.
I think it is a GT550
My neighbors will love me. :side:
