The only thing sad about that is the fact that I can't buy it! That thing is a gem, waiting to be polished.

Same disappointment here.... Many of these are making it out of the sheds these days and I'm not able to snap them up.

Stop tempting me. ;) Another nice find BTW!

The restoration will be pricey...a total disassembly and replacement of many many parts...I suspect the level of effort required and total financial outlay would exceed the value of the bike...it is a good buy for someone who has always coveted a KZ1000R but not a good buy for someone who wishes to flip the bike...

yeah that would not be getting "flipped"......it would be pried from my cold dead fingers...and even then there would be instructions and a maintanence schedule in a lock box to be opened when i kicked it...:woohoo:
but thank the lord...they do get flipped....gives us cash strapped mortals a little ray of hope for a better tomorrow.......

reading between the lines this guy owned since new,
had some kind of accident hurt his right arm,
converted it over to left hand throttle and brake,
decided it is too much bike to ride with one good arm,
got disheartened and looked at it for yrs wishing he could still ride it.

i feel for the owner as well as the bike.
