i like to work on bikes, at times it can suck but it is always worth it in the end..my dad rode a harley chopper for years built it from parts in three boxes..if it has two wheels i love it hell id ride a trike
just the other day i got behind a group of 15 or 20 weekend warriors and they all looked at me as i passed them on a bike as old as i am..i have always heard if you can fix it on friday to ride on sat. then your a biker..ride hard

I am a motorcyclist. I ride em', fix em', polish em', and appreciate all bikes. I'll talk with anyone who throws a leg over one and rides. There is not one brand that does not have at least one model motorcycle I desire. That includes HD, Indian, Buell and Ural. Wanna be a sot and not talk.. that's OK too. Wanna put down another persons ride and I'd rather you go talk to someone else. You want to talk about track racing ...cool but I'm not sure how much I can contribute. Wanna talk about drunk driving....you better walk away because I will share with you my opinions. Word is I have some. Wanna talk about wimmen, wine and song without motorcycles.....cool! Wanna ride together ..sorry I don't know your skills and have seen bad things come of that. I ride alone. But I hope you find a bike you love and spend many miles together.
A long time riding friend of mine just sold his Wing and got one of these
He loves it. Calls it his 250cc Mini-Hummer. Everywhere he goes people are coming up to him to ask about it. He still has a KZ900 and a Can-Am Spyder but I notice they're getting a lot less use these days.

i drive a 4 wheeled machine because i have to in our inhospitable northern climate i need a truck to haul my race bikes and my enclosed trailer but those are the only reasons i teach motorcycle repair have personally worked on bikes for a living for almost twenty years i got my motorcycle license 8 day's after my 16th birthday (in the dead of winter the tester thought i was crazy] i never got my auto drivers license for another two years. i have lived, breathed, raced, crashed, lost my virginity because of a motorcycle. i guess you can call me a biker the day i can't ride anymore will be the day i might as well quit breathing. bike's have always been the one constant in my life. and as far as i'm concerend my life has been very good and full so far because of this two wheeled obsession that has been with my since i was an infant so i've been told.

I ride a motorcycle when I can. I work on it when it breaks or needs something. I am looking forward to some longer trips when the kids are out of the house. Call me whatever you want, I don't care. Just don't call me late for dinner

Ok, let me throw a little twist on this.
"Easy Rider" the movie, is the story of two "bikers".
Bob Dylan's All Along the Watch Tower which was so graciously acknowledged by Jimi Hendrix, sang "Two riders were approachin..." (The Riders were The Joker and The Thief)
Jim Morrison sang of "leather riders selling news" in The Soft Parade and of course "Riders on the Storm".
This is just to name a few.
So, what's the difference? Do these terms mean something different today, than they did in the sixties?

I swear to God, it's like I live in a trailer of common sense, and stare out the window at a tornado of stupidity.
