"Twist the Throttle" on HD Theater
18 Aug 2009 06:52
Anyone have digital tv and get a channel called "HD Theater"? They have a show called "Twist the Throttle". Last night they had a show about Kawasaki. It covered the history of the company but was 99% geared to bikes. I couldn't tear my self away from it. They showed all the bikes that made Kawasaki famous, the assembly line (which is amazing to see how they build bikes) etc. They produce 1,200 motorcycles a day. They showed the Kawasaki museum in Japan, and I drooled seeing a picture of the assembly line in 1972, just one after another of Z1's.
Also they'll be showing 3 different shows of the 2009 Isle of Mann TT race in the next two weeks. The Isle of Mann is the best race in the world, in my opinion.
Other bike shows on "Twist the Throttle" will cover BMW and Suzuki.

Yeppers, caught that show a few times, but managed to miss the episode you're referring to. I'll have to see if it's on demand. The Ducati special is pretty interesting as well.

During the Yamaha show they mention a couple things I hope some of you all will have answers for.
1) When did the cork screw get added at Laguna, no date mentioned.
2) They say Rainey won three GP there. I thought Lawson one one at the venue????
In all a good show about one of the great motorcycle manufacturers. Good old footage of Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Gardner trying to keep pace with the Yamaha.
Never noticed the triple tuning forks till this show. DING!
