Proud of myself
18 Jul 2009 20:37
Being that my KZ is my first bike I don't really know anything about working on motorcycles. I noticed my cam end plugs were getting soft so I picked up some pingel billet cam end plugs to replace them, as well as a new valve cover gasket.
I was a little nervous about doing it myself...But as soon as I started taking it apart I realized I had just thought into it too much. I know most of you guys are like "Psh thats nothin I've torn apart my engine and carbs and put it all back together in 3 hours!" But this is an accomplishment to me

Congrats.
Oh, by the way, did you check the valve lash clearances while you had it apart?

Welcome to the world of being a true KZ owner...
Translation, we work on our own bikes/motors...
Sure, there are some things such as cylinder boring that with out proper tooling we just can't do our selves but for carb work, jetting, engine rebuilds etc.... Get them hands dirty...
Now your hooked, your life will never be the same for it becomes an obsession to have her dialed in.... :woohoo:

Ya, it becomes addicting. You just want to do more and more.
But this is a dangerous step. Have you told your girlfriend that theres a new woman in your life yet? :silly:
