You must have better luck/more reasonable cops than around here. :D

One of the three stop lights in town is traffic controlled and it is sensitive enough that the 650 will trip it.

Check your states vehicle code. There may be a provision dealing with "inoperable traffic signals", which it is in the case of a bike which fails to trigger the switch. You may be able to disregard the signal if it is "inoperable". Just a thought.......

I've ditched on many reds. Always take a gander around you first. If the light is lengthy and there are no cars........bam! Give me first gear and a couple others too.

Legal to run it here in Idaho. You have to wait a "reasonable" amount of time though.

I believe it is illegal here in Texas. The long-term solution is to notify the county highway (or dity street)departement, and the sensitivity of the trigger will be adjusted.

Same thing here.. Wait forever at lights. but cops are BADDDDDDDDDD around here. I had an 88 suzuki samurai (truck) that had the same problem.

I just pull over before the light and wait for a Car/Truck to pull up to the light and trigger it then I pull in behind them and twist a few gears before it changes:laugh: :laugh:
